EVENT DETAILS: The Cacao Journey Experience is a deeper meditation connecting to the medicine of the Cacao plant. Through a safe inclusive community, we will connect to its teachings as one true heart as the Spirit of Cacao was intended. This is an invitation to set your intentions, experience the gentle mindfulness practices of breath and slow movement, as well as to tap into creative exploration. Includes full moon phase ritual, oracle card divination, elements of sound, guided meditation, along with self acupressure instruction, and the loving flow of Holy Fire Reiki healing energies for each participant. We will close our session with an invitation to journal and gently process your experience. Session is facilitated by Shamanic Medicine Women, Energy Master, and Vibrational Sound Therapist, Lisa Harthun of Healing Balance Holistic Wellness Therapy.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: You may bring your yoga mat, blanket and pillow, if you wish, but we have plenty for you to borrow. Bring your own journal and pen, eye covering, and if you'd like, a sacred item for the Ceremonial Altar, such as flowers, fruit, feathers, crystals (items will be given back at the end of the session) Please arrive early to settle in, doors close promptly at session start. Dress in loose, comfortable clothing, warm socks, even pj's are totally fine! This is not a movement-based yoga class. Water bottles (non-glass) are welcome in the studio.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ IN PREPARATION OF THE CACAO CEREMONY (THE DAY OF)
• Hydrate before ceremony
• It is advisable not to consume any dairy the day of the session, as it may counteract the benefits of cacao as well as cause a mild stomach ache
• No caffeine intake 6 hours before or after consuming cacao as it can be overstimulating
• Fast 2-3 hours prior to session for optimal experience.
• Listen to your body; For low blood sugar you may want to eat whole foods or bring a light snack. Cacao can be quite filling.

The ceremonial cacao that Lisa uses for the session is a high quality cacao from Keith’s Cacao, ethically sourced and fair trade supporting small indigenous farms in Guatemala of the Q’eqchi’ Maya communities and other growers near Lake Atitlán and the Pacific coast, ensuring ethical practices and spiritual integrity.

About Lisa Harthun – Healing Balance Holistic Wellness Therapy: Lisa has been a practicing Shamanic Practitioner/Educator for many years trained in the teachings of core and modern shamanism, as well as in the Peruvian and Celtic traditions, and as a trained Cacaoista facilitates transformational cacao ceremonies. As a Reiki Master Teacher, she lovingly meets others where they are, holding space, gently walking with them through their healing journey infusing energy, and Divine connection into each offering.
