Cacao Ceremony ?
Cacao is a plant native to Central and South America, known as Theobroma cacao. It is best known for being the source of chocolate. Cacao refers to the pure, unprocessed form of chocolate that comes from the cacao bean. Cacao, also known as the "food of the gods" has been used for centuries in ceremonial practices.
Our journey begins with a cacao ceremony, where you will be served a nurturing cup of ethically sourced cacao. Cacao is known for its heart-opening properties, allowing you to access deeper emotions and insights. Cacao also contains anandamide, known as the "bliss molecule," which promotes feelings of joy and happiness. Followed by a guided meditation created to help you connect with your inner wisdom, release stress, and embrace a sense of inner peace.
Sound Bath?
The second half of the journey will be a sound bath, where you will be immersed in the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls, drums, and chimes. Sound healing has the power to harmonize your energy, release blockages, and promote relaxation, helping you enter a state of deep meditation.
About your Host:
Megan Mahoney is a counselling therapist at Awaken Counselling and Holistic Services. Megan has a passion for holistic approaches to mental health and wellbeing due to the interconnectedness of supporting the mind, body, and spirit. Through Megan’s own healing journey, she has discovered the transformative power of plant medicine, integration, and holistic healing practices. As a lifelong learner, Megan is trained in various holistic modalities including Breathwork, Reiki, Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Embodied Dreamwork and trauma informed plant medicine facilitation.
