According to the Mayans, Cacao is the food of the Gods.
Not as we know it now as chocolate, but in its raw form, where, when ingested in sacred ceremony, it has magical alchemical properties.
The alkaloids, neurotransmitters, neuromodulators, vitamins and minerals specific to cacao have a particularly nourishing and healing effect on the human body, which expands to include the heart and spirit when ingested with true reverence for the plant in sacred ceremony.
Cacao as a Shamanic teacher plant is a unique and magical heart-opener. How beautiful to experience working with a teacher plant in a very safe, gentle and grounded way that is accessible for all.
A HEART OPEN CEREMONY – Cacao; The Food of Gods is prepared in a sacred manner and in the Ceremony, we invoke the presence of the Spirit of Cacao, honouring it with healing sound, Meditation & Movement.
Ritual cacao is made from organic ground cacao beans from Peru, water, cacao butter, spices and a tiny bit of sugar I use unrefined coconut sugar all mixed into a liquid, actually very bitter but naturally high in iron, magnesium and B-complex vitamins.
We set our intentions for what we would like to receive from the experience and all drink together savouring the delicious richness as it moves through our body.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A CACAO CEREMONY ?
We will be sitting in a circle and set intentions, the meditation will be followed by music, chanting, singing, drumming, Gong and “dancing Movement Medicine™ is a body-based meditation practice” and creative expression to release anything you might still be holding on to that does not serve your highest vibration and potential. Anything that needs to be released can be let go of in this safe container and sacred space, supported by the loving heart medicine, a safe and open group.
Cacao ceremonies can be a great way to meet new people in your community, who are interested in healing and intentional connection with others.
If you are interested in doing healing work, such as clearing past trauma from relationships, ancestral clearing, or understanding the root cause of physical ailments, a cacao ceremony can support those intentions.
NOTE: a cacao ceremony is typically not a place where you would experience therapy, or personal 1:1 support, so if you need more in depth support for deep trauma, I recommend working with a therapist or healer 1:1. Guiomar is a Holistic therapist with over a decade of experience.
If you are looking to move more, to experience more bliss in your life, to fill up with the essence of who you are, cacao can support a deeper connection with your body.
HOW TO PREPARE YOURSELF:
•- Cacao contains caffeine, so please do NOT DRINK COFFEE or any other stimulants at least 3 hours before the ceremony.
•- We recommend that you do not eat for at least three hours prior to the ceremony.
•- Please drink plenty of water both before and after the ceremony to stay hydrated. This is so that the cacao can be quickly and easily absorbed enabling you to go deeper into your journey.
- If you are feeling floaty or spacey after the ceremony, a good way to ground the energy is to eat a nourishing, healthy meal.
•- Dress in comfortable loose clothing.

•- Your journal and a pen to write down any insights from your journey
•- A yoga mat, essential as the space is not carpeted, and we will be lying down.
•- A cosy blanket, pillow.
•- A water bottle.
•- An intention for the ceremony.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Tickets are non-refundable, but are transferable to another person for the same ceremony. Please book and pay for the ceremony in advance - there are limited numbers and the ceremonies sell out quickly.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Serious heart conditions: the theobromine in cacao increases heart rate significantly and is a vasodilator, lowering blood pressure.
If you have such a condition, consider consulting a physician and certainly go lighter on amounts. Pregnancy & breastfeeding. Like coffee or tea, it is important to reduce the intake of stimulating foods. The theobromine in cacao, which is very similar to caffeine, has a stimulating effect. Thus, I will be using - 35gm in a ceremonial drink.
GONG & SOUND HEALING:
If you have Tinnitus/ Menieres or Epilepsy any condition which is sound sensitive could be triggered by sound.
Metal implants/pacemakers etc. (can resonate the metal and also change the rhythm of pacemakers)
