Cable knitting gives your work a really cozy feel. Cable knit items are always on trend.
It is a fascinating form of knitting and even a simple cable stitch can turn a basic project into something special. In this workshop you will discover how satisfying it is to create intricate looking textures of winding and crossing stitches, making a stylish cushion with a heart motif. Your project will use West Yorkshire Spinners’ beautiful Croft Aran Yarn, made from 100% Shetland Island wool.
Skill Level
If you can both knit and purl stitch with confidence you are ready to progress to Cable knitting but it is suitable for relatively new knitters who would like to move on from just knitting scarves.
Materials
We supply the yarn and Judith’s exclusive pattern for your cushion project. You can pick your choice of colour when you book.
Please bring to class the following: 4mm needles & a cable needle.
To complete your cushion at home, you will need 3.25mm needles as well as 3 buttons, approximately 3.5cm diameter. We have plenty of buttons for you to choose from after class as well as needles.
Tutor Judith Schur has loved knitting since she was a child and previously had her own yarn shop. She has a City and Guilds trained in Hand Knitting and Design and is passionate about sharing the knowledge and skills needed to get everyone knitting.
Each participant receives a 10% off voucher to put towards another workshop.
