About the film

Cabaret is a 1972 American musical period drama film directed by Bob Fosse and written for the screen by Jay Presson Allen. It stars Liza Minnelli, Michael York, Helmut Griem, Marisa Berenson, Fritz Wepper and Joel Grey. Set in Berlin during the Weimar Republic in 1931,under the presence of the growing Nazi Party, the film is an adaptation of the 1966 Broadway musical Cabaret by Kander and Ebb,which was based on Christopher Isherwood's semi-autobiographical novel The Berlin Stories (1945) as well as John Van Druten's 1951 play I Am a Camera. It explores many queer themes in a daring and stylish way.

Unapologetic aphrodisiac, Dominus Von Vexo is a powerhouse performer with sex in their heel. The Birmingham based Queer is a true charismatic, creative chameleon with acts spanning from the delights of their Dirty Dancing rendition; to their pulsating, libidinous Sex Scandal number. Whether Dominus brings you the disco sweat of Studio 54 or has you in side splitting stitches as Patsy Stone, you will want to ride the infectious wave of this risqué ecdysiast!

Since scintillating into the scene in 2018, Dominus has achieved multiple honours under their hosiery belt. Including, Wicked Wonderland Winner 2020 and Midlands Zone Best New Cabaret Finalist 2020 for their sexquisite, firecracker performances. Combined with Midlands Zone Outstanding Contribution 2020 and Birmingham Live 30under30 2019 for their significant impact to the Birmingham LGBTQ+ community. Dominus has graced stages from Manchester, Leicester to Oslo-Norway to name but a few.

The daring artiste holds 8 years dance teaching experience comprising of Ballroom, Latin American, Heels and Burlesque; having choreographed for the likes of The Nightingale Club and projects performed at Birmingham Pride Festival. Dominus is also the producer, creative director and choreographer of acclaimed Birmingham burlesque, drag and cabaret group House of Allure. A diverse collective, having sold out all six of their shows in the heart of the Birmingham LGBTQ+ village. This rising drag star will be sure to leave the stage blazing one heeled step at a time, enforcing the empowering agenda: ‘You Walk With Thunder!’
