Lead vocalist Taylor Meier dropped out of college when he found his passion for songwriting. He convinced high school bandmate Evan Westfall to join him in Athens, Ohio. Through playing coffee shops and open mics around Athens, the group began to develop their heartfelt, folk sound and gain traction. Their self-released, self-titled album performed well on Spotify with “Vagabond” getting the most streams. CAAMP gained a slow and steady rise through Spotify and constantly playing live events.

CAAMP opened for Rainbow Kitten Surprise on their U.S. tours giving them a taste of touring and a chance to expand their sound. Prior to releasing their third album By and By, longtime collaborator Matt Vinson joined the band on bass. CAAMP is known for its thoughtful and creative lyrics as well as their Americana sound.
