The Great Ocean Roadie

Challenge 4 Change is excited to bring back our epic cycle adventures. We believe this is an opportunity to pass the baton from one generation to the next. It is our hope to bring together some of our veteran C4C participants and rally a new generation of motivated and enthusiastic men and women to push themselves in every respect, build lasting friendships, experience adventure, and support the mission of Eagles Wings.
~ The Route ~
The 2027 route will take us from Adelaide, past some iconic cycling landmarks, along the Great Ocean Road, and finally into Melbourne. We will ride approximately 1,000 km over seven days in achievable daily stages.
~ The Ride ~
This event is not an individual pursuit. We will ride together and share both the highs and the lows as a team. There will be two groups, riding at average speeds of 20 km/h and 27 km/h, to cater for different levels of fitness and experience. Each group will be supported by a humble and selfless support crew (often past cyclists) and a vehicle carrying supplies, luggage, and spare equipment.
Cycling is a terrific platform for a multi-day adventure! You do not need to be a club cyclist or an accomplished rider to consider participating in this event. It is open to anyone willing to give it a go. With some training beforehand and coaching during the event, we will develop your skills, build your confidence, and push your abilities, allowing you to experience the rewards of endurance and group riding.
~ Our Focus ~
The Great Ocean Roadie is built on the Christ-centred values of Eagles Wings: HOPE, GENEROSITY, and ADVENTURE. The event will challenge us physically, emotionally, and spiritually, while encouraging us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable young people, raising funds and awareness for the work of Eagles Wings.
