French Chanson, Noise, echoes of music from faraway and long ago, modified radio transistors and other old electronic gear… After releasing several sets of raw, almost entirely improvised direct-to-tape recordings Bégayer now has become a quintet working towards a new kind of concert: a ceremony with no beginning and no end in which concert-time and quotidian time merge in order to deliberately drain of any autonomy the temporality of performance.

Felix Nussbaumer
born in Y2K in the border region of south tirol (italy). early childhood memories are very rural. all new technologies arrived with a delay of about 5 years. single-child, baby-boomer parents rose in social class from farm & orphanage to accountant & journalist between the 80s and 90s. grandparents were farmers, housewives, blind call-center employees, shop-owners, accountants and air force pilots. working mostly with wind instruments, electricity, circuit boards, microphones, speakers and other people i get along with.
