Oktoberfest became an annual festival held in Munich, Germany dating back to 1810 in celebration of the marriage between Price Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Therese.
The festival concluded after five days, ending with horse races. 🐎🐎
That following year, the races were combined with a state agricultural fair and in 1818 booths serving food and drinks were introduced. It didn’t take long for the booths to be traded for large beer halls with wooden interiors. 📯
The mayor of Munich Taps, the first keg to open the festival estimated upwards of 75,800 hectoliters (about 2 million gallons!!) of beer was being consumed for each festival. 🍺🍺
In conclusion Oktoberfest is a time for singing, laughing, drinking and sharing food and joy with friends and loved ones.
Creating a type of gemütlichkeit ❤️💛🖤
Join us for the start of our festival Saturday September 20th and Sunday September 21st with games 🎯drinks 🍺food 🥨 and live music 🎶
