BZP Allentown and GIANT Grocery Approval Celebration!

Join us on Thursday, May 21 from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at GIANT (3300 Lehigh Street, Allentown, PA 18103) as we celebrate six stores becoming Blue Zones Project Approved—making the healthy choice the easy choice for our community. Opening remarks and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9:30 AM.

In-store there will be interactive engagement with the Blue Zones Project, GIANT Wellbeing Team, and GIANT Store Team.

In becoming an Approved Grocery Store, GIANT shared their wellbeing best practices, highlights of which include:

• GIANT focuses on locally grown produce and products, seasonal displays, and stories that highlight the farmers and makers who help strengthen our communities.
• GIANT’s team of registered dietitians host virtual nutrition education and cooking sessions that spotlight plant slant foods, turning them into balanced, affordable meals.

• GIANT shares healthy, easy‑to‑make recipes through Savory, their free food and lifestyle magazine.

We look forward to celebrating this accomplishment with GIANT, but also with our community!
