BZ3 Organ Trio Album Release Concert

A special concert celebrating the release of the self-titled debut BZ3 Organ Trio recording. Featuring Brian Ziemniak, Hammond B3. David Feily, guitar, Kevin Washington , drums. Special guests appearing at the show (and featured on the recording) include Julius Collins (vocal), Fred Steele (vocal), Deb Brown (vocal), Jesse Larson (vocal), Peter Vircks (saxophone), Yohannes Tona (bass), Daryl Boudreaux (percussion).

BZ3 Organ Trio, formed originally in 2014. A modern take on a classic sound - combining the atmosphere of the organ trio sound of the 60's with an updated texture and groove.

Brian Ziemniak is the Twin Cities' most versatile keyboardist, consistently crossing musical boundaries while being true to the style and himself. Brian has toured recently with star-studded funk group fDeluxe, popular Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer, and The Blues Brothers. In addition to BZ3, he performs locally with the legendary Dr. Mambo's Combo, Tina & the B-Sides, acclaimed R&B vocalist Fred Steele, renowned bassist Yohannes Tona, and instrumental soul group Midnight Love.

David Feily moved to the Twin Cities in 2007 and since then has firmly planted himself in the music scene as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, musical director, educator, and collaborator. In addition to his contributions to BZ3, you can find him in various ensembles such as Rhythm Street Movement, Minneapolis String Project, LA Buckner's Big Homie, and New Sound Underground. He also performs for many artists including Charles Lazerus, Steve Cole, Kevin Washington, Reed Grimm, Lucia Sarmiento, Esera Tuaolo, and more.

Kevin Washington’s talents as a drummer and composer have made him a favorite among musicians in New York and Minneapolis. He currently leads his own group called The Kevin Washington Quintet, and was a founding member of jazz legends Movable Feast. Kevin recently released a single from his forthcoming debut solo release entitled 'Journey to the Light', available on all major streaming platforms. Kevin has performed with Reggie Workman, Roscoe Mitchell, Rodney Whitaker, Bob Hurst, Antonio Hart, Chico Freeman, James Carter, Fred Wesley, Roy Brooks, Marcus Belgrave, David Murray Big Band, Fred Hopkins, Craig Taborn, and James Newton to name a few.
