With heavy heart, we share that long-time Habitat for Humanity employee, volunteer, and homeowner Byron Watkins passed away at the end of January. Byron was a devoted employee in our ReStore for fifteen years, first as an Associate and ultimately as ReStore Director. He was a loving father, son, and friend to all. Byron was wonderfully passionate about Habitat for Humanity, and he left a mark on everyone who worked with him, built alongside him, or lived next to him. He was kind - a crusader who wore his heart on his sleeve and always believed in doing what was right. We are eternally grateful for the contributions that he made to our organization and the tireless energy with which he spread the word about Habitat, but mostly, we miss our friend.Please join us on Tuesday, May 7th at 9 am for a remembrance and celebration of our friend and colleague, Byron Watkins. We will gather in the ReStore at 819 North 10th Street to share memories and a dedication.
