Yes, this tournament is just as the name implies! Teams can be comprised of 5 players minimum, or up to 6, max of 4 guys, and minimum 2 girls, and must be played with a beverage in hand.
Check in at 5:00pm
Balls up at 5:30pm
Cost: $120/ team
Format: pool play followed by single elimination bracket
Complimentary bucket
$3 domestics all tournament
Power Hour(s) 7pm-9pm: most drinks $3
Due to the obviously challenging nature of one-handed play, notable rules include:
- open hand tips are legal
- no setting restrictions (as dirty as you like, no egregious lifts)
- serves cannot be blocked or spiked (as usual)
- no net touches allowed (as usual)
-players are free to play the ball with any part of the body, provided the drink does not leave their hand
Drinking rules:
1. Every player on the team
must have a beverage in hand, in a yard cup (red solo cup)
2. Drink can NEVER be empty; must be 1/2 full
3. If empty drink is caught, player must leave court to get new drink while play continues (like a hockey penalty box)
4. Missed serve = social for own entire team
5. ace = social for opposing entire team
6. Non-drinking players MUST have a yard cup of WATER in their hand to participate
