“By the Water”: A Fibre Art Show
The Kingfisher Fibre Artists are a creative collective of fibre enthusiasts whose primary focus is rug hooking, while many members also explore knitting, sewing, needle felting, punch hooking, and other textile arts. Together, we celebrate creativity in all its forms — where the only limitation is imagination itself.
Our members gather to create, inspire, learn, and share their passion for fibre art with others. This special exhibit highlights the remarkable talent within our group and showcases the wide variety of fibre arts inspired by a common theme: “By the Water.”
We are delighted to present this unique exhibition at Scott Manor House from August 23–28, 2026. Visitors will experience an engaging collection of original fibre artworks reflecting coastal beauty, memories, movement, and life connected to the water.
As part of the week’s events, we will also host an outdoor “Hook-In” on the grounds of Scott Manor House on Tuesday, August 25 (rain date: August 28, 2026). Guests are invited to watch demonstrations, meet the artists, and learn more about the rich traditions and contemporary expressions of fibre art.
Throughout the exhibition, members of the Kingfisher Fibre Artists will be on site to welcome visitors, answer questions, and demonstrate the art of rug hooking and other fibre techniques.
We look forward to welcoming you to this inspiring celebration of creativity and community.
