BVCSD Communications Department Intern

Internship Description: The Communications Intern is expected to commit to delivering at least two internship hours each week. Typical tasks for the successful intern applicant may include some of the following (you do not need to know how to do all of these tasks!):

• Develop content for district website, newsletters and social media. 
• Assist with special events, virtual programs and related materials.
• Gather research and fun factoids to support publications and programs.
• Photograph students, events and achievements (candid and planned).
• Create visual assets such as website pages, flyers, fact sheets, slide decks and social media posts. (Video knowledge is a bonus!)

Candidate Requirements:

• Current enrollment in Bay High School, with preference for interest in communications, digital media, journalism, English, marketing, advertising, public relations, photography, videography, graphic design or a related field.
• Writing, editing, photography, design and social media skills. 
• Proficiency in Google products or Microsoft Office product equivalents.

This experience will count towards the new Honors Diploma field experience requirement. This is not for course credit. Interested students will receive an email from Mrs. Holden with more information.
