Buttonwood Friday Night Milonga - This Week: Osvaldo Pugliese! El Maestro! Lesson at 8 PM

This Friday we bring our October orchestra series to a close with Osvaldo Pugliese.
We've spent the month with Canaro, Troilo, D'Arienzo, and Di Sarli. Pugliese gives us a different kind of musical adventure: dramatic pauses, powerful rhythmic accents, and changes in energy that give dancers plenty to listen for - and play with.
In this week's pre-milonga lesson, we'll look at how the same figure can be danced differently to suit the feel of the music. A little change in how we move can make all the difference when we dance to a different orchestra.
Great music, a welcoming floor, and a whole evening of dancing await. Hope to see you Friday! ❤️
All-levels Lesson: 8-9 PM - $15/person
🎶 Milonga: 9 PM-1 AM - $20/person
Lesson + Milonga: $28/person
Full time students: 1/2 price
October is Italian-American Heritage and Culture Month. Tango grew from many influences in the Río de la Plata, including the contributions of Italian immigrants. It's been a pleasure to spend this month listening more closely to some of the great orchestras that shaped tango.
Come for the lesson, stay for a tanda, or join us for the whole evening. All are welcome!
