Buttercream & Piping Inspired by Yvette Mayorga
Inspired by the vibrant, maximalist works of contemporary artist Yvette Mayorga, whose paintings emulate elaborate buttercream piping through richly layered acrylic paint, this workshop invites participants to explore the decorative language of cake artistry. Guided by a skilled cake decorator from Emerald Flour, you’ll learn foundational buttercream piping techniques before transforming your own 4-inch mini cake into an edible work of art.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll practice a variety of piping styles and experiment with texture, pattern, and color while decorating your cake with a curated palette of buttercream, playful sprinkles, and ribbon embellishments. Whether you’re new to cake decorating or looking to refine your skills, this class is designed to encourage creativity, experimentation, and a deeper appreciation for the intersection of fine art and culinary craft.
