About this Event

Join us for this event where we'll explore research around sexual harassment and how the risks and experiences differ across industries and personal demographics and hear an employer's case study about preventing sexual harassment and supporting their employees.

We'll hear from Professor Dennis Nickson of Strathclyde University about sexual harassment by clients in the hospitality sector, and considerations for employers in relation to protecting staff from sexual harassment.

Dr Ji-Won Song, Lecturer in Human Resource Management/ Employee Relations and University of Edinburgh Business School, will share insights on Asian women's experiences of sexual harassment at work.

Emma Kilpatrick, Lead HR Consultant in Employee Relations and Policy at City of Edinburgh Council, will share case study insights into the research and actions taken at City of Edinburgh Council to prevent sexual harassment and support their employees.

Held in collaboration with the CIPD South East Scotland branch this event forms part of University of Edinburgh Business School’s ‘Business Series’ a programme of public, in-person events which aim to bring together practitioners, staff, students and members of the Edinburgh business community around a common topic of interest.
