About this Event
Join the Thomson Reuters Foundation and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) at this roundtable for business leaders focused on shaping the future of responsible AI adoption. This is an official side session as part of the AI Action Summit 2025.
Faced with rapidly developing technology and increased legislation, CEOs and corporate boards are grappling with the question of how to balance competition and innovation with risk, accountability and social impact. This event brings together business leaders as critical drivers of ethical practices around AI adoption that maximise the potential of AI while mitigating the risks. Led by discussion from the Thomson Reuters Foundation and featuring members of the UNESCO Business Council on the Ethics of AI, International Panel on the Information Environment and business leaders, we will look at best practice, strategies and frameworks that businesses can adopt to position themselves as leaders in using AI responsibly. We will also explore the value of voluntary measures as an aim to enhance transparency, such as the AI Governance Programme launched by the Thomson Reuters Foundation in partnership with UNESCO. Companies who will be participating in the Programme are committing to share their approaches and best practices by disclosing policies and strategies for governing AI ethically.
