About this Event
On October 3rd, Business Brew welcomes back Mark Pond, Business Research Librarian at Spokane Public Library. We'll have a conversation about the evolving role of libraries in entrepreneurship and economic development. Mark will share the story behind Startup Spokane and how it’s helping local businesses access high-value tools and resources. We’ll also explore the “Library of Things” and what it means for entrepreneurs: think databases, pitch decks, and yes, even bocce ball sets. From practical tools to bold ideas for future funding models, Mark brings curiosity, experience, and a few personal favorites (including his go-to happy hour drink) to the table.
Business Brew is for curious minds and lifelong learners. It's just coffee and questions with a business expert. Each session brings together entrepreneurs, professionals, and community members for a casual conversation with a local resource. The agenda is simple: coffee, curiosity, and the opportunity to ask questions, share insights, and connect with others. Business Brew is a place to hear fresh ideas and practical advice, and build meaningful connections. This is a relaxed space to learn and grow alongside Spokane’s vibrant business community.
