Join us for the next Columbian Business & Brews, where special guest Ifeoma Akobi will dive into burnout by providing understanding of what occupational burnout is, how it impacts employees and organizations, the challenges of intervention approaches, and her research on disrupting burnout.

Speaker Bio:
Ifeoma Akobi is a pharmacist, PhD candidate and award-winning scholar in philanthropic studies, health policy and management at Indiana University (IU) Indianapolis. Her research interests include organizational strategy, occupational burnout, employee well-being, and nonprofit fundraising. She is the apostle and founder of Globe Frameworks โ an emerging research, development and consulting platform. Ifeoma is the recipient of several awards and fellowships including first prize winner of the Mission Possible award for her presentation on Changing the Narrative on Teen Sexual Assault in Indiana, the IU Elite 50 Awards, Morsman Family Presidential Fellow for Advancement at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site (BHPS), the Eugene R. Tempel fellowship, and the Preparing Future Faculty and Professionals (PFFP) three minute thesis runner-up prize for her presentation on Burnout in the Nonprofit Sector. She has also received grants for research and travel within and outside the USA. Her recent project on sleep and its relationship with burnout attracted local and international recognition. Ifeoma is part of a thriving network of colleagues, friends and collaborators. She is a graduate assistant at The Fund Raising School and the President of the Golden Key International Honor Society IU Indianapolis chapter. She was also a member of the Mission and Vision Strategy Team at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy (LFSoP) and a graduate of the fifth cohort of the Columbia Club Community Impact Initiative. She enjoys writing poetry and music, singing, reading and travelling.
