We’re in need of volunteers to help plant trees as part of the restoration efforts to stabilize the bank after the long-awaited removal of the Bushong Dam, at the confluence of the Tulpehocken Creek and Schuylkill River, which occurred in August, 2025. We’re partnering with First Energy and UGI Utilities to provide many volunteer hands to plant 250 trees in coordination with Reading City’s Public Works. (**1100 Montgomery St is the nearest physical location, the dam removal site is to the East of the Rail Trail that parallels the Schuylkill River.**)
