Making their way back to Six String’s stage is Bury Thy Wicked! Bloomington-Normal If you never have seen BTW prepare your ears for a wonderful combination of rock, metal and punk. Their anthemic riffs and powerful stage presence leave you wanting more. The light hearted antics and tasteful breakdowns will leave you reminiscent of shows of your youth. This quartet has been amping up to bring new catchy tunes to the masses and now is your chance to hear the fruits of their labor.Colin Billings solo (Modern Rock and Blues)
Opening this show will be local artist, composer and producer Colin Billings. Colin has been playing guitar and singing since his early teenage years. After living and playing in Texas he has come back to the midwest and he is here to show you what he's got. What he has got is catchy rockin tunes that will get stuck in your head right away. For this occasion he will be playing solo for an intimate performance that you won't want to miss.
Artificial Light (Melodic Metal/Hard Rock)
Artificial Light is a melodic hard rock/metal band from the Springfield area. Their sound is a great mixture of souring riffs, powerful vocals and heavy ass drums. We're excited to see them on the Six Strings stage!
Monarch (Grunge/Hard Rock/Alternative Rock)
Monarch are Bloomington-Normal's own grunge alt rockers. If that doesn't tell you enough alone then wait to you see these guys on stage. This 3 piece has so much power coming from just three people that it seems like there are 30 of them on stage. The mix of vocals with the hard hitting guitar crunches will remind you of why you fell in love with bands like Nirvana in the first place.
Cole Hollow (Hard Rock/Rock and Roll)
Cole Hollow are the heavy rock and rollers hailing from Peoria and they are back again to blow the roof off of Six Strings. Everywhere they go they leave a lasting impression and that can totally be said when they were at Six Strings last summer. Now running as a quartet their sound has gotten even heavier with a second guitarist helping bring the noise.
