Burton Tech High School Mural Unveiling

Join Alliance Burton Tech High School, Eye Discover, LA vs Hate, California Arts Council, California Stop the Hate, and Alliance Burton Tech's Community Schools Initiative on Saturday, August 29th from 11 AM - 1 PM for a new youth-led mural unveiling at Burton Tech High School. This youth-led mural uplifts the Black and Brown movements, historical figures, and culture of South LA which unity, solidarity, and liberation as the central themes.
This collaboration was built upon the strong foundation of Burton Tech's Community Schools model, which emphasizes authentic partnerships, student voice, and shared leadership with community organizations.
Together, these organizations transformed student voices into a lasting public work of art that celebrates unity, solidarity, and liberation, inspires belonging, promotes healing, and demonstrates how community partnerships can empower the next generation of leaders while creating positive change throughout South Los Angeles.
