Burrito Brigade Chicago is an organization that meets monthly to make and distribute burritos to the hungry and unhoused in our community. We make between 450-550 burritos each Brigade.
No sign up needed for individuals or families, just show up! If you are looking to volunteer with a group larger than 5, or if you are looking to bring kids younger than 13, please contact us ahead of time via messenger or email.
Closed toe shoes are required, and please tie back long hair. Please do not come if you’re sick!
From 11:30 to 2pm we need help with:
🍅 Chopping veggies
🌯 Rolling burritos
📦 Counting and sorting burritos for distribution
From 2pm to 4pm we need help with:
🚗 Distributing burritos - we can tell you where to go or you are welcome to drop off wherever you know of a need

🥕 If you are growing veggies in your garden this summer and you have extra, we accept donations of sweet potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, kale, collards and onions! Please send us a facebook message or email to arrange drop off.
