All about mammals. There are many features that make mammals different from anything else on Earth and features that make them unique.
About this Event

In this class, scouts will earn their mammal study merit badge!

From tiny rodents to gigantic whales, mammals are one of the more charismatic groups of animals in our lives. In this class, Scouts will learn what makes mammals unique from other animals, how they transfer energy through the ecosystem, and how we can be a part of their world without negatively impacting them.

Please Note: Burpee does not provide patches/badges.

Pre-registration & prepayment are required to attend.

Fees:

• Scouts - $15
• Parent/Additional Adult - $6 Each
• Scout Leaders - FREE

In-Person Date: Sunday, January 17, 2027 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CST

Location: Burpee Museum of Natural History, 737 North Main St. Rockford, IL 61103

In person check-in starts 15 minutes before the program start time; online check-in starts 5 minutes before the program start time. Please plan to be here early so we can start on time.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

All event registrations and purchases are final and non-refundable. If Burpee Museum cancels an event, a full refund will be issued to registered participants.

Programs may be canceled if minimum enrollment requirements are not met. Burpee Museum reserves the right to limit registrations or cancel any program. Every effort will be made to notify registered participants of cancellations.
