Burpee Museum BSA: Geology Merit Badge - In Person

Geology is the study of Earth. It includes the study of materials that make up Earth, the processes that change it.
About this Event

Geologic forces impact the entire Earth. From minerals to mining, to the rock cycle and plate tectonics, Scouts will explore how the land beneath our feet affects our everyday lives.

In this class, scouts will earn their Geology Merit Badge.

Burpee does not provide patches/badges.

Pre-registration & prepayment are required to attend.

Fees:

• Scouts - $15
• Parent/Additional Adult - $6 Each
• Scout Leaders - FREE

In-Person Class Date: Sunday, November 15, 2026 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CST

Location: Burpee Museum of Natural History, 737 North Main St. Rockford, IL 61103

In person check-in starts 15 minutes before the program start time; online check-in starts 5 minutes before the program start time. Please plan to be here early so we can start on time.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

All event registrations and purchases are final and non-refundable. If Burpee Museum cancels an event, a full refund will be issued to registered participants.

Programs may be canceled if minimum enrollment requirements are not met. Burpee Museum reserves the right to limit registrations or cancel any program. Every effort will be made to notify registered participants of cancellations.
