Formed in 2006, for approaching 20 years White Denim has been celebrated for their fearless blend of garage rock, soul, jazz fusion, psychedelia, and experimental improvisation. Based for much of that time in Austin, though frontman James Petralli has since relocated to Los Angeles, the group quickly built a reputation for electrifying live shows and adventurous musicianship, earning comparisons to both classic rock icons and modern innovators. Their 2008 debut Workout Holiday established them as genre-defying outsiders, while later releases such as Corsicana Lemonade in 2013 showcased a more polished but no less daring approach. At the heart of the band’s vision is frontman James Petralli, whose distinctive voice, sharp guitar work, and inventive songwriting anchor White Denim’s sound.
