Firebug proudly presents, for the very first time all on the same bill...A Kick In The Bits: Sling your reggae, ska, punk in a blender, fire it up, 'N' dance.... and what do you get? A Kick in the Bits right between the eyes, the perfect mix. Hail brass, politics, and smiles with a smidgin’ of chip chop hop stop on the Night Train Express. They are one of the finest bands in the area, possibly the world. Hot on the heels of their brand-new, critically acclaimed album ‘Don’t Break It’ this amazing Leicester-based band will be storming the walls of Firebug, and are not to be missed under any circumstances!
Pretty Dirty Rats: One of the first wave of Leicester’s now famous ‘Riotous Collective’, these slinky-tailed creatures of beauty (only sometimes in need of a good wash) will be bringing you their own unique flavour of grungy, punky alt-rock. A fantastic three-piece, on stage the Rats seamlessly blend the intensity of punk rock with solid and unforgettable melodic grooves and must be seen to be believed!
The Burnout: Leicester's finest garage-rock blues bashers are back at Firebug and ready for action. They will be ripping up the rulebooks and launching an all-out assault on a tight and sweaty set of blistering songs. Dark and dirty, gory and gothic; this rock-solid, post-punk, three-piece are essential Saturday night viewing.
Any one of these bands would make for a truly memorable night, but with all three showing up, it's definitely one for the diary!
