Burma’s Peacock Film Festival in Brno marks the 5th anniversary of the military coup and the beginning of the Spring Revolution. The festival builds on a documentary event that was originally held in Yangon under free conditions before moving into exile following the 2021 coup.The Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB) @dvb_peacock_filmfestival and World Bridge Initiative are proud to present a screening of award-winning films from the DVB Peacock Film Festival. The screening and discussion will take place on Sunday, March 1, at Kino Art, marking five years since the military coup and the start of the Spring Revolution.
The festival is dedicated to showcasing the courageous and high-quality work of Myanmar’s documentary filmmakers. It highlights under-reported stories from Myanmar since the 2021 coup, amplifying the voices of those who continue to resist a brutal military regime and document their experiences of survival, displacement, and resistance.
