About this Event
This Burlingame Reflections Photo Walk is part of my Cameras & Coffee series—built on the idea that photography gets better when it’s shared. Walking, shooting, and talking with other photographers sharpens how you see, while pausing over coffee creates space to reflect, ask questions, and learn from one another.
We’ll meet at 10:00 AM on Sunday, March 8, behind the Embassy Suites at 150 Anza Blvd. (park in the Bay Trail parking spots. We will then walk roughly .6-miles to Burlingame Point. Along the route, we’ll photograph office buildings with strong reflective surfaces, and see views that include planes landing at SFO and San Francisco in the distance. This stretch offers excellent opportunities to practice working with glass, angles, compression, and visual layering.
As we approach Burlingame Point—one of my favorite locations for photographing reflections—the architecture becomes more modern and the reflective surfaces more abundant. The site also offers strong opportunities for self-portraits using reflections, from subtle to graphic.
After shooting at Burlingame Point, we’ll stop at Equator Coffee to recharge and regroup. Coffee isn’t just a break—it’s a moment to compare approaches, talk through what’s working, and reset your eye before walking back. The pace is relaxed, and while everyone is free to explore independently, I’ll be available throughout to share ideas, point out possibilities, and offer guidance as needed.
Bring any camera you enjoy using. Expect a thoughtful, unhurried experience focused on intentional seeing, experimentation, and learning how to turn everyday surfaces into compelling photographs.
As with all Cameras & Coffee photo walks, the coffee is included with registration.
