BurLEX Intermediate Student Showcase

The students will be performing burlesque routines that they have created, from costuming to choreography, under the guidance of their intermediate burlesque course from Träshique.

These students have taken the plunge into the Intermediate course with Träshique, which has been no easy feat. And we are celebrating their accomplishments through both Beginner I & II and now the inaugural round of Intermediate classes!

BurLEX(ington) was founded and is operated by Kayti/Träshique and is a collaborative community collective based in the art form of burlesque in Lexington, Kentucky. Queer, revered, and widely feared, Träshique is a touring sideshow professional and burlesque performer with a knack for a little of everything. Träshique is the owner and a performer in Tinderbox Circus Sideshow and a co-founder of Lexington's only girlie show, The Dames. She is an award-winning professional performance artist focused on the variety arts and has been producing shows and touring for 12 years. Together with her partner, they produce Kentucky's only underground exhibition of variety arts - the Midnight Cabaret. She also acts as Entertainment Management providing a platform for self-employed artists of all genres for the nationally-acclaimed Oddities & Curiosities Expo as well as a vocalist and songwriter in Lexington's dark carnival, Caravan Discordia.
