Identify your best assets and exploit them to differentiate yourself from other performers and turn them into your strengths; release your power and enhance your stage presence. This workshop alternates burlesque techniques: walks, poses, gloves peeling, bumps and grinds with exercises to strengthen self-confidence and reclaim your body. You can wear high heels or socks. Bring a pair of gloves and a robe/deshabille/gown and a water bottle. All levels welcome.
JAZZ BROADWAY BURLESQUE with Léonie Peony - 12:15-13:45
In this workshop, burlesque artist Léonie Peony will teach you how to combine jazz technique with burlesque theatrics. Warm-up on the fundamentals of jazz, and bump grind shimmy. Then work in heels on crossings, musicality, technique and burlesque characters, and end with a choreography to let go and have fun! Bring a pair of dancing heels!
