Burlesque Storytelling with Queertini Time

Learn to craft compelling characters, plot-lines, and empowering themes through burlesque. About the Austin Academy of Burlesque:

The Austin Academy of Burlesque is dedicated to the instruction of burlesque performance and history. We teach movement, character development, performance development and fitness in a positive, diverse, and welcoming environment. We resolve to build the local burlesque community by creating a safer, inclusive space, and uphold the values of a just, feminist, and humanist society.

About Your Instructor:

Eaton Johnson and Shelby Mine (Queertini Time) began performing together in 2004 and formally established Queertini Time in 2010. They have been instructors at the Austin Academy of Burlesque since 2013.

Queertini Time has experience being a part of a large (20+ person) troupe; being the producer of a large troupe; producing multiple local, national, and international shows; applying to and performing in local, national, and international shows; applying to and performing in BHoF; and being a duet who isn't a part of a troupe.

They've taught classes as small as three people and have taught at festivals to 50+ people. Their expertise lies in collaboration, communication, comedy, and storytelling.

48-hour Class Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your registration and get a full refund when you contact the Academy more than 48 hours before the start of class. When you contact us with less than 48 hours notice, your fee is not refundable. You may however, transfer your spot to a friend or donate your spot.

A 3 student minimum will be required for a class to take place. In the event a class needs to be canceled due to low attendance, students and will be given 48 hrs notice and will be fully refunded.
