Residents of all ages to invited to explore, learn and connect with the natural world on Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bailey Lake Park.This free family-friendly event brings together local experts, educators and nature enthusiasts for a hands-on experience celebrating the plants, wildlife and ecosystems of North Texas.
Guests can visit a wide range of interactive booths hosted by the Rio Brazos Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists and community partners. Activities include creating insect habitats, crafting dragonflies, learning about bats and exploring the fascinating life cycle of monarch butterflies. A welcome booth will provide event schedules, distribute nature bracelets for collecting items from each booth and offer nature bingo cards for use during the guided hike.
Participants can enjoy a Monarch Migration experience, spin-to-win trivia games, pollinator garden education and plant giveaways from the Tarrant Regional Water District. Additional booths will include organizations focused on native plants, birding and outdoor education.
