Burleson Nature Discovery: Back-to-School Adventure

Before the school year begins, spend one more evening exploring the outdoors at Burleson Nature Discovery, a free family event celebrating the amazing wildlife and natural spaces found right here in Burleson.
Join us from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, for an evening filled with hands-on activities, interactive exhibits and outdoor adventures designed to inspire curious minds of all ages.
Meet local naturalists, learn about monarch butterflies, bats, pollinators and native plants, build an insect habitat, create a dragonfly craft and discover why these creatures are important to our environment. Families can also enjoy a guided tree hike with Dr. Jessie Farris, complete a Nature Bingo adventure, explore a butterfly tent, meet live animals and take home free plants while supplies last.
Whether you're preparing for another school year or simply looking for a fun family outing, Burleson Nature Discovery is the perfect way to reconnect with nature before the first school bell rings.
This free event is presented in partnership with the Rio Brazos Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists and Keep Burleson Beautiful.
