Bundle Sensory Bags for First Responders

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Kids + Family Volunteers will work together to pack duffle bags of sensory items. These bags are used by First Responders in their interactions with individuals during stressful situations that need to be de-escalated.

These duffle bags will include items such as fidget toys, textured balls, notebooks, pens + pencils.

WHY IS THIS WORK IMPORTANT:

This hands-on volunteer work will benefit Autism Society Of Southern Arizona.

The Autism Society of Southern Arizona works to foster a supportive community by promoting understanding + inclusion for individuals with autism and their families.

KIND NOTES:

This volunteer project is for All Ages!

• This in an in-person + indoor event.
• All supplies will be provided.
• A takeaway snack will be provided for the Kid Volunteers at the completion of the project.

WHY YOU'LL BE ASKED TO PAY A FAMILY REGISTRATION FEE:

Our small family registration fee enables Tucson Family Volunteers, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to offset volunteer costs for this event. We do the planning, coordinating + buying of supplies (and snacks!) for all volunteer projects so that your family can just sign up, volunteer + have fun!

If you have to cancel your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our efforts to create more give-back kindness projects for our kids, families + non-profit partners.
