Bunco is a dice game that takes literally all of 15minutes (1 round) to learn how to play and keep score. It does cost a minimum of $10 to play.
There are 4 players per table. There is always a head table (table 1). The head table sets the score time and rings then bell to begin each session.
You begin by table 1 (head table) ringing the bell when everyone is ready. Then everyone begins by rolling for 1’s. if you don’t get a 1, you pass the dice. If you roll one 1, then you pick up all 3 dice and roll again. You get a ticker mark for each 1 rolled. The round ends when anyone (someone rolls 3 1’s) BUNCO! OR 1 team at table 1 gets 21 ticks for points, then they ring the bell to end the round.
At the end of each round (1s, 2’s,3’s etc.) the losers get up and move clockwise to the next table. They can’t be partners again at the next table. The winners of this round will stay at the table, but 1 of them will switch chairs so that they are not partners again.
If you roll a 3 of a kind of any number other than the one your “Trying” for, you get five tick points for that and you mark the triples (mini buncos) at the bottom of you score card. If you roll 3 of what you’re “trying” for, this is a BUNCO and you yell out BUNCO and you mark the Bunco at the bottom of your score card.
This is repeated until 6’s are completed. After 6’s everyone stays in their seats and then we will take a a 5-10 minute break to get eats, drinks, or shop with the vendors. After the break, game 2 will start and it is a repeat of what you just did in game 1. The only difference is, when rolling for 1’s in game 2, you will have the same partner as in round 6 of the previous game.
There will be another 5-10 minute break after game 2. After game three, we will tally your score cards. There will be prizes for the most Buncos, the most Mini Buncos (triples), the most games won and the most games lost
There will be one final prize, valued between $30-$50 that will be won by raffle tickets. Each $10 spent with a vendor gets you 1 free raffle ticket toward this prize. If you preregister by telling us ahead of time that you are coming this gets you another free raffle ticket. Bring a friend who did not preregister and get another free raffle ticket.
