Event: Bumpers Reunion
Where: Fresgo Inn Restaurant
When: 1PM , Saturday September 12th, 2026
Who: Everyone who ever went to Patches, Bumpers, The Zone, or The Paramount
Why: It’s time to get together and catch up with friends, co-workers, crushes, and the people who were so cool you were afraid to even talk to them. We had the best place to hang out, hear new music and dance the night away, it doesn’t matter if you only went for school dances, or were there every night, come out and say hello to all the people who made our youth so great!
We have heard from former owners Gerald Der Woon and Steve Dubas that they are committed to being there, we have heard from former DJ’s going all the way back to when it was Patches who are making plans to attend, heck even Kai the Guy is bringing kitty litter! This event is going to be so cool the media is already asking for press passes!
Now it’s about you. Time to make plans to be there (or be square) Saturday September 12th. at Fresgo’s Restaurant on King George. That’s right, the place we would go after dancing ‘till midnight is still there serving up mushroom burgers and sub-sandwiches like it’s 1986. We are taking over the back room of the restaurant for the afternoon so there will be lots of space and time to hop from table to table to catch up with everyone, share a laugh and remember the days we thought would never end.
The Details: Everyone will be responsible for their own food/drinks (this is easy due to the cafeteria style of Fresgo’s) The restaurant has no liquor license so find an empty field across the road and down some Ruby Red before you get there. There is plenty of parking in the lot off King George Blvd or be brave and take transit getting off at Whalley Exchange and making the run past Stardust. (OK it’s called Surrey Central and Stardust is long gone, but you get the idea)
