The new single comes off the back of accolades and achievements such as 1 million streams in 2023, an endorsement from Fender guitars, a National Live Music Award nomination for Blues & Roots artist of the year, and full calendar of tour dates and festivals around Australia. The hype continues to build around Jack Biilmann & The Black Tide as one the country's best blues/rock/country outfits.
The band have taken this classic anthem, pulled it apart and given the track a world class blues/rock makeover. Impressively, Jack Biilmann & The Black Tide still pay homage to the iconic melodies, tones and riffs of the original recording, and maintain the outlaw country attitude which made the track famous. Out of respect, the single release date falls on the very day Johnny Cash recorded the original on July 30th, 1955.
