BULLHORN ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM THE LOOK OUT (Release Date: Friday July 24th, 2026)
Featuring focus single “STACK”
Brisbane brass-hop collective BULLHORN return with their new album, The Look Out — a ten-track collection of songs written across a significant chapter of personal and creative growth for the band.
Recorded throughout Meanjin/Brisbane, The Look Out arrives after years of touring, changing circumstances, hard lessons and shared experiences. Across the album, BULLHORN explore a simple but enduring question:
What still has meaning when everything around us changes?
The result is a record that balances celebration and reflection in equal measure. From the explosive energy of Dynamite, Nation Am I and Baller’s Rhythm, through the introspective terrain of Way Down and Oddisee, to the warmth of Wake Up To My Love featuring Breanna and the uplifting spirit of Back Me Up, the album captures a band taking stock of the world around them while refusing to lose sight of joy.
At the centre of the record sits focus track STACK.
Driven by BULLHORN’s signature blend of powerful brass, hip hop lyricism and infectious grooves, STACK examines the stories we inherit about success, value and identity. Through personal reflection and social commentary, the song asks what we are truly accumulating as we move through life—and what the cost might be when we lose sight of the things that matter most.
Like much of The Look Out, STACK doesn’t offer easy answers. Instead, it invites listeners to step back, take a wider view and reflect on their place within a rapidly changing world.
That idea of perspective became a guiding thread throughout the album.
Whether addressing belonging, love, uncertainty, ambition, community or resilience, the songs on The Look Out are united by a belief that connection remains one of the most important things we have. The record acknowledges life’s challenges without becoming trapped by them, choosing instead to celebrate the moments, people and values that help us find our footing.
Musically, the album showcases the full breadth of BULLHORN’s sound. Massive horn arrangements, driving rhythms, heartfelt storytelling and festival-ready energy combine to create a record equally suited to dance floors, road trips, late-night conversations and live stages.
Each track was recorded live and documented visually, with audiences able to watch the songs come to life through accompanying online performance videos captured across locations around Meanjin/Brisbane.
More than anything, The Look Out is an offering from a band that has spent years building community through music.
It’s a record about looking out for each other.
A record about finding perspective.
And a reminder that even in uncertain times, joy, connection and meaning are still worth holding onto.
