Os adentraremos en la Sierra Norte de Madrid siguiendo el curso del río Lozoya, rodeados de montañas, pinares y unas vistas espectaculares. El recorrido nos llevará hasta las murallas medievales que rodean el casco histórico, uno de los pueblos más bonitos y con mayor encanto de toda la Comunidad de Madrid. ¿Sabías que Buitrago de Lozoya es el ÚNICO pueblo de Madrid completamente amurallado? Sus orígenes se remontan a la época musulmana, y hoy conserva intacto un recinto amurallado del siglo XI, además de una iglesia gótica y hasta un museo con obras de Picasso. ¡Un auténtico viaje en el tiempo!

Detalles de la ruta: Nivel fácil, unos 10-12 km con desnivel suave, perfecta para disfrutar del paisaje sin prisas. Si el tiempo acompaña, podremos refrescarnos en una de las zonas habilitadas junto al río o en el área recreativa del embalse. ¡No olvides tu bañador! A mitad del recorrido, disfrutaremos de un picnic a orillas del Lozoya, con vistas al embalse de Riosequillo. Buena comida, buena compañía y aire puro de montaña.

We will enter the Sierra Norte de Madrid following the course of the Lozoya River, surrounded by mountains, pine forests and spectacular views. The tour will take us to the medieval walls that surround the historic center, one of the most beautiful and charming villages in the entire Community of Madrid. Did you know that Buitrago de Lozoya is the ONLY town in Madrid completely walled? Its origins date back to the Muslim era, and today it preserves intact a walled enclosure from the 11th century, in addition to a Gothic church and even a museum with works by Picasso. A real journey in time!

Route details: Easy level, about 10-12 km with soft slope, perfect for enjoying the landscape without haste. If the weather is good, we can cool off in one of the enabled areas next to the river or in the recreational area of the reservoir. Don't forget your swimsuit! Halfway through the tour, we will enjoy a picnic on the banks of the Lozoya, overlooking the Riosequillo reservoir. Good food, good company and pure mountain air.
