Built by Us Women Empowerment Luncheon
About this Event
Join the Alabama Black Women's Roundtable, under the leadership of Commissioner Sheila Tyson, for an inspiring afternoon of empowerment, celebration, and connection at the Built by Us: Black Women Power & The Next 250 Luncheon.
This special event will bring together influential women leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, community advocates, and young female students from across the Birmingham area to celebrate the extraordinary contributions of Black women while inspiring the next generation to lead with confidence, purpose, and determination.
As we reflect on the legacy of Black women who have paved the way, we will also look toward the future and explore how we can continue building opportunities, breaking barriers, and creating lasting impact for generations to come.
What to Expect
Guests will enjoy an empowering afternoon featuring:
- Women in Power Panel: An engaging conversation with accomplished women leaders sharing their personal journeys, professional experiences, challenges, and lessons learned along the way.
- Financial Empowerment Panel: Valuable insights on financial literacy, budgeting, investing, financial independence, and building generational wealth.
- Inspirational Keynote Address: An uplifting message designed to encourage women and young girls to embrace their potential and pursue their dreams.
- Awards & Special Recognition: Celebrating outstanding women who are making a meaningful difference through leadership, service, and community impact.
- Networking & Community Connections: Opportunities to connect with inspiring women, community leaders, and organizations committed to empowering the next generation.
Investing in the Next Generation
A special focus of this year's luncheon is empowering young female students throughout our community. By connecting students with successful women from diverse professional backgrounds, we hope to expose them to new possibilities, encourage their ambitions, and provide valuable advice they can carry into their futures.
Our mission is simple: To ensure the next generation of young women understands that their voices matter, their dreams are achievable, and their opportunities are limitless.
