Facilitator Bio
Ramona Merchan, DSW, MSW, LCSW, Executive Director -
Ramona has lectured extensively on child welfare, racial equity, leadership, and trauma. With more than 20 years of experience in Los Angeles County public social services and child welfare, she is a trainer, coach, advocate, and leader passionate about serving vulnerable communities. Ramona has managed programs addressing disparities in the child welfare system, including the California Partners for Permanency (CAPP), and at present, she focuses on Family First implementation to strengthen prevention services for Los Angeles County children, youth, and families.
