Building Tour - The Vestry on Read

The Vestry on Read was originally built as a church in the 1950s and sat vacant for about 10 years prior to this adaptive reuse project, completed in May of 2023. Local micro architecture firm Saluda Mallard, worked with Columbia based real estate investors to transform the abandoned church into what is now one of the most unique short-term furnished rental properties in the city. Each apartment was laid out to maximize sleeping arrangements and highlight the vaulted ceilings, original steel trusses and wood floors. Interior design was done by local company Winding Ivy, and created an Instagram photo worthy setting at every turn in each of the themed rental units.
