An opportunity to work together towards an agreed Pembrokeshire CT model that focuses on passenger needs and works together as one sector!
About this Event

Following on from the initial PACTO project launch event, ‘With You On Your Journey’ in March this year, we would now like to take this opportunity to update you on the progress of the work that the PACTO team have been involved with over the last six months working with passengers, drivers, volunteers, Trustees, operators, partners, and stakeholders.

We are excited to announce that we are in the process of planning a workshop specifically designed for Community Transport (CT) operators. This workshop will build on the insights gained from our recent face-to-face consultations and the overwhelming response we received. The goal is to provide a platform for further engagement, discussion, and collaboration on key issues. This will also provide us the opportunity for working together towards an agreed Pembrokeshire CT delivery model that focuses on passengers' needs and works together as one sector which is united, robust, and future proof.

We therefore would now like to invite you to participate in the upcoming ‘Building Tomorrow: Our Pembrokeshire Community Transport Model’ workshop. This workshop will be facilitated by Sachá Petrie, the Sustainable Transport Community Development Officer from Awel Aman Tawe, Swansea.

Venue: Letterston Community Memorial Hall, 102 St Davids Road, Letterston, Haverfordwest, SA62 5SJ

Date: Tuesday, October 1st, 2024

Time: 9.30 am – 4.00pm (start at 10 am)

Lunch will be provided and there will also be accessible free parking at the venue itself.

We have just completed the most extensive public engagement CT consultation to have ever been held across Pembrokeshire. This involved the delivery of over 100 face to face public engagement events including eight CT workshops with a number of underrepresented community groups, across the County.

We have been overwhelmed by the massive response and engagement we received from these events and this high level of interaction clearly reflects the strong interest in supporting a sustainable public and community transport service across Pembrokeshire. This feedback provided us valuable information alongside potential solutions that focused on passengers, and their mobility needs and requirements.

We have also received over 700 responses to our online passenger survey, which we are now in the process of analysing and once we have completed this we will update you with a full report.

Currently, we are in the process of analysing the data gathered from these engagements.

Once the analysis is complete, we will provide you with a comprehensive report on our findings.

The SWOT analysis that you undertook recently will contribute towards identifying key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within your organisation and the sector. This analysis will also inform strategic decision-making, helping us to leverage strengths, address weaknesses, capitalise on opportunities, and mitigate potential risks. These insights gained will also guide the development of actionable plans and initiatives to enhance overall performance and achieve long-term goals.

Please note that this workshop is aimed at Community Transport operators, and spaces are limited. If you are unable to attend, please contact us to nominate an alternative representative.

Feel free to contact us anytime if you need more information about the workshop on

Please ensure that you reserve your place by Monday, 16th September 2024

PACTO looks forward to you joining us as we embark on this exciting journey together.
