About this Event
Australian universities are increasingly keen to explore transnational growth opportunities, including offshore online degree offerings, partnerships and fully-owned campuses. However, in practice there are many challenges to doing this well, and in the past "TNE" has gained a bad reputation as loss-making investment for Australian institutions.
In this roundtable event, we are seeking to unpack what lessons can be learned from successful international ventures, with contributions from a number of international experts in this field. Speakers include:
Ravneet Pawha, Vice President (Global Engagement) and CEO (South Asia) at Deakin University - Ravneet has played a critical role in Deakin's pioneering engagement with India, including India's first-ever international branch campus in GIFT City.
Benjie Norman, former Director - Business Strategy at Monash University - Benjie played a critical leadership role for Monash's Malaysia and Indonesia campuses, which are key success stories in Australian TNE.
Dr Ken Moore, Co-Founder at AptoNow - Dr Moore leads AptoNow's research and thinking in this field, and previously led the establishment of a private university in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Join us for a thought-provoking discussion ONLINE or at the Australia India Institute boardroom, Level 9/501 Swanston St, Melbourne . Drinks and nibbles will be provided!
