Join us on Thursday 21st November 2024 at KPMG with a Rapid7 Presentation & Panel Discussion for an evening of networking, professional development, and industry insights. This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with fellow professionals in the field and gain valuable knowledge to enhance your skills.

Presentation

"Building Resilient SecOps via Unified Visibility and Actionable Threat Intelligence."

The threat of ransomware looms across organisations of all sizes, industries and reputations. Just keeping track of and having visibility across your entire IT environment can be not just challenging, but at times, impossible. And modern attackers understand this, successfully using sophisticated techniques to breach servers and infiltrate IT architectures.

This leaves security operations teams constantly looking at new ways to evolve their strategies, enhancing visibility and preparedness to stay ahead of emerging threats.

This session will explore:

  • key trends of attacks undercovered through Rapid7 Labs’ analysis of over 5,000 security incidents.
  • what true, unified visibility actually means and how you can achieve it in a sea of sameness across vendors.
  • how actionable cyber threat intelligence can help sharpen your cyber security defences.

Speakers:

, Director, Regional CTO, APAC, Rapid7

Robin Long is a cybersecurity professional with more than 20 years’ experience engaging and collaborating with organisations around their cyber risk management efforts. As Director and Regional CTO for the APAC region at Rapid7, Robin consults with information security leaders and executives on strategies, processes, and technologies to enable security as part of the business process. He is also responsible for presenting C-level executives with the positive business outcomes Rapid7 solutions deliver.

, Chief Product Officer, Rapid7
Craig Adams is a recognized cybersecurity leader, currently serving as the Chief Product Officer at Rapid7. Craig has extensive experience in helping enterprises build defenses against cognitive security threats, helping to mitigate complex information operations and social media manipulations.

Before joining Rapid7, Craig was the Chief Product & Engineering Officer at Recorded Future, helping security and IT teams improve their operations through effective security intelligence. He also spent over two decades at Akamai Technologies, most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Security and Performance portfolio. Beyond his corporate achievements, Craig is committed to giving back to the community with a passion for helping kids in the foster care program. Craig holds a degree in Business Information Systems from Utah State University.

Panel Discussion
"Navigating The Evolving Cyber Threat Landscape: AI, Ransomware and Attack Surface Management."
As the cyber security threats increase, while attack surfaces do the same, organisations face the dual challenge of managing tighter budgets while striving to maintain robust protection.

In this session, our panel of CISOs will discuss these challenges, while imparting their own wisdom as to how best manage what we call ‘the defender’s dilemma’. They will offer their thoughts into the latest cyber security threats they see in their industry, covering AI-driven attacks, ransomware and attack surface management, as well as provide actionable strategies to tackle these challenges head-on.

Key Topics include:

  • The challenges organisations face in their attempts to gain true, unified visibility of their threat exposure.
  • How to navigate the complexities of integrating cyber security solutions to ensure collaboration across platforms.
  • The delicate balance between harnessing AI innovation in security while mitigating its associated risks and the impact of AI to the threat landscape.
  • Guidance on implementing effective governance, defence strategies and tooling.
  • The ransomware evolution and what to expect next.
  • Identifying ineffective controls and gaps in your security posture.
  • Effectively communicating impact of threats to senior leaders and linking threats to business risks.

Moderator:
, Director, Regional CTO, APAC, Rapid7
