In the dynamic landscape of professional growth, success is not a matter of chance; it's a strategic pursuit. This session is designed to help you understand the essential elements of career agility and provide practical insights and tools to overcome challenges along your professional journey.

In this session will explore:

· The role of mindset, abilities, and a positive reputation within the business and explore how cultivating these assets contributes to sustained career growth.

· How understanding organizational dynamics and key drivers of career success within your organisation, field or industry can help you navigate the internal workings of the business effectively.

· The value of building relationships with influential figures shaping hiring decisions, discussing how to foster meaningful connections within the organization.

· Common barriers to career acceleration, and how you can apply strategic thinking to navigate these barriers and set actionable strategies to rebound from setbacks and maintain focus on career goals.

In this session we take a holistic approach to career agility, combining the strategic building of a successful career foundation with the resilience and problem-solving skills needed to overcome obstacles along the way.


About your speakers:

Mhorag Doig - Head of Alumni Careers, LBS Career Centre

Mhorag joined LBS in late 2019 to grow and develop the Alumni Career Centre. She has varied experience across Asset Management and HR Executive Search, Higher Education, and Entrepreneurship. Prior to relocating back to London in 2019, Mhorag worked in the HR Centre of Expertise for Global Executive Search firm Korn Ferry, based out of their Zurich Office, where she delivered global CHRO searches for several global blue-chip clients.

She is a trained Coach and a certified Belbin and MHS Emotional Intelligence diagnostic facilitator. She also coaches and mentors mid-career and leadership professionals across a variety of industries through her own coaching practice careeriosity.co and sits on the Board of the Coaches for Advancing Professionals Alliance – an organisation supporting leading Business Schools globally to enhance their effectiveness in working with Executive MBA, Part-Time MBA and Alumni communities.


Lusine Magakian – Career Lead, Masters in Finance, LBS Career Centre

Lusine is an accomplished professional development expert with a strong background in finance and a passion for guiding executives towards successful careers. As the Career Lead at London Business School, she designs and delivers the professional development curriculum for the Master in Finance students.

With nine years of finance experience at blue-chip organizations such as HSBC, Santander UK, and Lloyds Banking Group, Lusine brings valuable industry expertise to her role. Since transitioning into leadership development and career coaching in 2016, she leverages her finance knowledge and academic qualifications, including an MSc in Organisational Psychology, MSc in Banking and Risk, and BSc in Economics, to tailor professional development strategies and empower individuals to fulfil their potential.
