Join NYS Department of Environmental Conservation & WXXI Education for a series of early childhood workshops focused on empowering educators to explore nature with young children in a variety of ways. Workshop #3: Building Nature Curiosity with PBS KIDS: Learn how nature resources from PBS KIDS, can help empower children (and their grownups!) to expand their natural curiosity. We’ll dive into developmentally-appropriate ways to integrate media to spark creativity, exploration, and playful learning. We’ll also discuss how nature exploration can be a great platform for literacy, computational thinking, and social-and-emotional learning.
